Mogadishu (Somali Report) - EgyptAir has officially confirmed that no Somali passports have been blocked or restricted for travel to Cairo.

The clarification comes after rumors circulated on Somali social media stating that communications habe allegedly sent to airlines agents operating in Somalia, suggesting that Cairo authorities had halted entry for travelers with Somali passports unless they hold a visa sticker.

The airline emphasized that any updates or changes will be communicated through official EgyptAir channels, reassuring travelers that their bookings remain valid. “Thank you for your continued trust in EgyptAir,” the statement added.

The reasons behind the rumors remain unclear, and the Somali government has not issued any official statement regarding the matter.

The false reports initially caused uncertainty, leaving many Somali travelers with upcoming tickets at risk of financial losses.

EgyptAir urged passengers to monitor official communications and avoid relying on unverified messages circulating online.
