Mogadishu (Somali Report) — Federal immigration agents reportedly shot and killed a 37-year-old man in south Minneapolis Saturday morning, marking the third such incident in the city this month.
Police said the man is believed to be a U.S. citizen. Video of the incident circulated on social media, though authorities have yet to release additional details.
“We are aware of reports of another shooting involving federal law enforcement in the area of 26th Street W and Nicollet Ave,” the city of Minneapolis tweeted on X at 9:48 a.m. “We ask the public to remain calm and avoid the immediate area.”
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz said he spoke with the White House after learning of the shooting and called on President Donald Trump to end the federal immigration enforcement campaign.
“Minnesota has had it. This is sickening. Pull the thousands of violent, untrained officers out of Minnesota. Now,” he wrote.

Social media video appears to show several ICE agents tackling the man, with at least one agent drawing a gun before multiple shots are heard.
This follows previous incidents this month, including ICE agent Jonathan Ross killing 37-year-old Renee Good on Jan. 7 and another agent wounding Julio Cesar Sosa Celis on Jan. 14 during an apprehension attempt.
Minneapolis Council Member Aisha Chughtai, present at the scene, reported more than 100 ICE and Border Patrol agents were deployed and chemical irritants were used.
Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said her office is working with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to coordinate a state response.
The FBI has barred local and state authorities from accessing investigations into the earlier shootings.
