Likenew Smart Laundry has launched Somalia’s first 24/7 Smart Lockers, allowing customers to drop off and collect laundry anytime while bringing secure, technology-driven laundry services closer to homes and businesses across Mogadishu.
MOGADISHU (Somali Report)— Likenew Smart Laundry has unveiled Likenew 24/7 Smart Lockers, introducing what the company says is Somalia’s first around-the-clock smart laundry locker service.
The new service allows customers to drop off and collect laundry at any time of the day or night without waiting in queues or being limited by traditional business hours. Designed to provide greater convenience, the smart lockers also eliminate the need to search for parking or travel to a branch during operating hours.
According to Likenew Smart Laundry, the lockers will be installed in convenient locations across Mogadishu, allowing customers to access professional laundry services closer to where they live and work.
The company says the system combines convenience with security. Customers receive notifications through the Likenew mobile application and WhatsApp when their laundry is ready, along with a unique PIN that enables secure collection from the lockers.
Speaking at the launch event, the Director General of Somalia’s Data Protection Authority, Mohamed Nur Olow, praised the company’s digital innovation, saying the platform complies with international data privacy standards while supporting Somalia’s growing digital economy.

Likenew General Manager Ahmed Bashir Osman said the company’s vision extends beyond laundry services.

He added that the new smart lockers remove barriers of time and distance, making it easier for customers across Mogadishu to access quality laundry services whenever they need them.
